Cheikh Taylor elected to first full term as Mississippi Democratic Party chair

SUMMARY: Ole Miss specialist Lucas Carneiro was named to the 2025 Lou Groza Award preseason watch list, recognizing the nation’s top college placekicker. A transfer from Western Kentucky, Carneiro impressed in his sophomore season after moving from Bowling Green to Ole Miss, earning Conference USA Special Teams Player of the Year honors. SUMMARY: A statewide law enforcement effort in Mississippi, called “Operation Guardian Force,” led to 72 arrests related to human and drug trafficking and offenses against children, along with the rescue of 29 trafficking victims. Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch emphasized the commitment to removing traffickers and aiding victims.
