Capitol police arrest driver after chase with two infants in car

SUMMARY: A 20-year-old driver was charged with child endangerment after leading police on a chase in Jackson, Mississippi. The driver, identified as Devon Reese Emmons, refused to stop after an illegal U-turn to avoid a checkpoint. The chase ended when the vehicle hit a truck at an intersection, but his two infant children in the car were unharmed. Emmons was also charged with felony fleeing, possession of a controlled substance, and more charges are possible. The incident occurred on April 5 and was reported by Bailey Martin, press secretary for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety.
