BYOBikes builds bikes with kids for Christmas
SUMMARY: A warm-hearted event is happening during the holiday season as the Coast community, led by Ali Brown, founder of BYO Bikes, comes together to build bikes for kids. This Christmas, they’re spreading joy by assembling bikes with children—increasing the impact beyond just donating, as it involves the community in making a positive difference. On December 2nd, a Bike Build Day will take place at the Ugly Pirate in Bay St Louis, where volunteers can join. Through BYO Bikes’ efforts, over 600 bikes have been donated, and they’re expanding outreach. Everyone is encouraged to volunteer or donate to support the cause and share the joy of cycling with children.

Harrison County approves budget with no tax increase
SUMMARY: Harrison County leaders have finalized and approved the 2025-2026 fiscal budget with no tax increase, balancing expenditures at around $324 million.
