WXXV-TV (NBC and FOX) Gulfport/Biloxi on the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast is hiring a full time Newscast Producer Monday-Friday. This position comes with paid vacation and benefits available.
WXXV-TV has state of the art equipment including a new broadcast studio.
We broadcast seven hours of local news each day.
Brief Description of Duties:
- Create news rundowns with quality stories.
- Strong news writing and editing skills.
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere and Edius non-linear editing software.

HSSM receives grant from PetSmart charities to help more adoptable pets find families in Harrison County
SUMMARY: The Humane Society of South Mississippi received a $25,000 grant from PetSmart Charities to prepare 400 cats and dogs for adoption at two PetSmart locations in Harrison County during National Adoption Week. This grant covers costs of spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and event supplies. The initiative aims to reduce pet homelessness and support new pet owners. PetSmart Charities emphasized the importance of community support in bringing pets and people together. PetSmart stores will feature adoptable pets for cuddling and potential pet parents can learn about necessary products and services. Astronaut Thomas Stafford, commander of Apollo 10, has died at age 93

MGCCC student awarded prestigious Guistwhite Scholarship
SUMMARY: Kiyoshi Takahashi, a student at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, has been named a 2024 Guistwhite Scholar by Phi Theta Kappa (PTK). This prestigious honor includes a $5,000 scholarship for baccalaureate studies. Takahashi is a dedicated student involved in various campus organizations and plans to pursue a bachelor's degree in biological science (pre-med). His long-term goal is to become a physician in the U.S. Air Force. The Guistwhite Scholarship recognizes outstanding scholarship and leadership among PTK members, with winners selected based on academic excellence and engagement in PTK programs. Takahashi's achievement is celebrated by MGCCC and the Phi Theta Kappa community.
