Brandon alum takes over girls basketball program

SUMMARY: Holly Moncrief, a former alum of Brandon High School, has returned as the new head coach for the basketball team. Moncrief has had previous coaching success at Puckett and Lake High School, winning over 200 games and a state title. She aims to bring energy and teach the girls to play hard every second of the game. Moncrief is confident in the girls’ receptiveness and the support of the community. The Bulldogs’ performance under Moncrief will be observed later this year.

State champion head coach Holly Moncrief has returned to her alma mater. Moncrief is the new head coach of the girls basketball team. She led Lake to the 2A state title last year in her first and only season leading the Hornets. Now she returns to her old high school to lead the Bulldogs who have been close to getting to the Big House.
