Bond set for man accused of injuring Jackson police officer
SUMMARY: Nicholas Glover has been arrested for injuring a Jackson police officer and has received a $1.6 million bond. The officer, Anthony Johnson, was responding to a call about a mental health subject when Glover hit him with a vehicle. Other officers fired shots at Glover, but he was not hit. Johnson was treated at the hospital and released. The suspect’s vehicle was found and removed, and Glover was arrested shortly after. He has been charged with aggravated assault against a police officer and felony fleeing. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is looking into the officer-involved shooting. Police believe Glover was suffering from a mental episode.
