Body discovered in Jones County identified as missing woman
SUMMARY: Jones County deputies identified the body found inside a vehicle on June 10 as Samantha Elisabeth McCowan, 32, who had been missing. Her body was discovered at a business on Highway 184. An autopsy showed no foul play, confirmed by security camera footage. McCowan had disappeared after a crash on June 7 at 1:00 a.m., where she hit a Mississippi Power pole and was seen leaving the scene on foot. Investigators had been searching for her since the crash.

Madison County school bus involved in multi-vehicle crash
