SUMMARY: Football season kicks off with the MRA Patriots, who last year achieved 8 wins but suffered tight losses in the 6A MAIS semifinals. With the departure of all-time passing leader John White, the team, now younger, aims to improve their ability to finish games. Head Coach Herbert Davis, returning after health challenges, is enthusiastic about coaching this closely-knit team and believes they possess exceptional strength and speed. Despite their youth, the focus remains on executing plays to transform previous close losses into victories. MRA will be the first team to play this season, signaling exciting times ahead.

The MRA Patriots start off our Blitz 16 previews for the 2024 season. The Patriots will have to replace a lot on offense but head coach Herbert Davis, who has been coaching for over three decades, is excited about his team’s potential. MRA will be the first team in the Metro to kickoff their season as they host Parklane Academy on Thursday night August 15.
