SUMMARY: State health officials in Mississippi have confirmed a bat tested positive for rabies in the northern part of the state. The Mississippi Board of Animal Health (MBAH) was informed by the state Department of Health (MSDH). Two dogs possibly exposed to the rabid bat have been quarantined. Since 1961, Mississippi has had only two confirmed rabies cases in humans and animals, both linked to infected bats. Officials stress the importance of vaccinating pets and avoiding contact with wild animals like bats, raccoons, and foxes. Despite concerns, he believes revenue sharing will promote roster parity. Kiffin also playfully targeted former Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze with trolling jabs, continuing their public banter.
