Authorities identify man who was killed after allegedly breaking into ex-girlfriend’s Petal home
SUMMARY: Authorities have identified Burnell Gould, 27, as the man shot and killed after allegedly breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home in Petal. Forrest County Coroner Lisa Klem confirmed the fatal incident occurred on West 10th Avenue when Gould was shot by another man inside the house after aggressively knocking and barging in. Gould was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead. No arrests have been made yet, and social media users accuse the ex-girlfriend of setting Gould up. Police continue to investigate and will release more information as it becomes available.

Delta State officials counter rumors as investigation continues into Black student found hanging
