Apprentice linemen, lineworkers compete in MGCCC’s annual Lineworker Rodeo

Harrison Co. supervisors approve $75 million bond for Memorial Health System
SUMMARY: Memorial Hospital is set to expand following the approval of a $75 million bond by Harrison County Supervisors for a facility enhancement after Memorial Health’s acquisition of Meritt. This takeover will rebrand the downtown hospital as Memorial Health Hospital, with the sale expected to finalize early next year. The bond will fund a new multi-service facility for pediatric care and oncology, along with upgraded equipment like MRI machines and a new 300-space parking lot. Both Harrison County and Gulfport need to approve the bond, which is featured on the upcoming Gulfport Council agenda.
Memorial Hospital will be getting some new facilities— this after Memorial Health System announced the takeover of Merit Health Biloxi November 8.
