SUMMARY: More than a week after a tragic shooting at Appalache High School involving 14-year-old Colt Gray, 911 calls from the incident have been released. These calls reveal the panic and fear experienced by parents and children during the chaos. Parents, including a father whose daughter attends the neighboring elementary school and a mother struggling with a language barrier, desperately sought information about their children’s safety. School employees also used newly installed panic buttons to alert authorities. As the community mourns the loss of an assistant coach, the local football coach is working to support his team.

While it’s been more than a week since that horrific morning when investigators say 14-year-old Colt Gray started shooting, we are just now hearing some of the 911 calls placed that day reporting a shooting at Apalachee High School.
