The repairs were made possible by a generous donor and were tested by the EMA director to ensure they are working properly. The mayor and EMA director emphasize the importance of having multiple ways to receive severe weather alerts, including the tornado sirens, weather call NextGen through WTV, and the WTV Weather app. It is recommended to have multiple methods of receiving alerts in the event of severe weather. This is good news for the community as spring severe weather season approaches.

After damage from last year’s storms, Amory has its tornado siren back in working order.
