Alabama man faces up to 20 years after being caught with nearly 1,000 grams of meth in Jackson County
SUMMARY: Charles Oliver Trahan, III, from Grand Bay, Alabama, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and is facing up to 20 years in prison. Law enforcement traced meth sales in Jackson County to Linda Mizell and found that Trahan supplied her with the drugs. Trahan was caught with 991 grams of meth after leaving Mizell’s home on August 22, 2023. A record of digital payments between them was also discovered. Trahan’s sentencing is set for April 23, while Mizell will be sentenced on April 2, facing similar charges.

SUMMARY: Ole Miss linebacker Tyler Banks has been named the 2025 Chucky Mullins Courage Award winner and will wear the No. 38 jersey in honor of Mullins. Banks, a senior from Virginia and three-year letterwinner, is the 35th recipient of the award, which honors Mullins, who was paralyzed during a 1989 game and passed away in 1991. Head coach Lane Kiffin praised Banks for his perseverance, leadership, and dedication on and off the field. Banks has played in all 39 games since 2022, mainly on special teams, and serves on the SEC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. The award recognizes courage and determination.
