SUMMARY: The Mississippi State Department of Health has paused the sale of many medical cannabis products for retesting due to concerns raised by an anonymous tip about pesticide use and mycotoxins at Rapid Analytics, one of two state-approved testing labs. This administrative hold has halted sales in about 70% of dispensaries, significantly impacting many, particularly smaller operations. Reeves said the Guard will help “restore law and order” and ensure public safety. Trump has 30 days of emergency control but may extend it through a national emergency. D.C. Attorney General Brian Schwalb is suing over the takeover. Other GOP governors are also sending troops.
