WTVA's Gabe May reports live from Young Avenue, deemed the “official” Main Street, where an old barber shop dating from the 1800s is being restored. Vacant since 1980, the city has acquired the building to restore it to its original state using a Mississippi Main Street revitalization grant. This project aims to revive the area, with future plans for additional renovations across eight other cities in Northeast Mississippi.

There are 19 cities in Mississippi getting grants to give their downtown area a makeover, one of them Nettleton.
