Shooting victim speaks after being attacked in car jacking
SUMMARY: A man narrowly escaped being shot in the stomach while inspecting a home in South Jackson by a man dubbed “The South Jackson Terror.” Richard Froelicher was approached by 24-year-old Steven Jones, who demanded he get in his vehicle. Froelicher refused, prompting Jones to open fire on him. Froelicher suffered non-life threatening injuries but stated that the shooting changed his life. Houston Career and Technology Education Center receives $50,000 check
SUMMARY: The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has awarded a $50,000 grant to the Houston Career and Technology Education Center for renovations to its engineering lab. The funds will be used to upgrade air conditioning units and the roof, enhancing student comfort and learning conditions.
