NASA donates specialized eclipse glasses to Hancock County School District

More than $6,000 was raised this morning for the family of corrections officer Shari Rouse, who was killed in a car accident earlier this month.

Menge Avenue Interchange Update
SUMMARY: Construction on the M Avenue interchange has been ongoing for 10 months, with significant progress being made. The Ming Avenue overpass appears to be nearly finished, but there is still work to be done before it can be opened to traffic in the fall. Contractors are currently tying rebar for the bridge and will soon begin pouring concrete. The overpass is set to be completed in August, but other infrastructure improvements in the area will continue. Once roadways are finished, motorists will be allowed to use traditional ramp systems. Other developments in the area, such as Buckes laying their foundation, indicate ongoing construction activities along M Avenue.
