Anthony Fox files lawsuit
SUMMARY: Former Jackson police officer Anthony Fox, who was recently released from prison after his conviction was overturned, has filed a lawsuit against the state of Mississippi seeking $50,000 in compensation for wrongful incarceration. Fox was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the 2019 death of George Robinson but the appeals court ruled there was no credible evidence to support his conviction. Proposed bill would make drivers education mandatory in Mississippi

TVA awards money to schools in Itawamba, Lee, Winston counties for energy upgrades
SUMMARY: The Tennessee Valley Authority recently awarded $70,000 to several local schools for energy and learning environment upgrades. Seven schools received $10,000 each for these improvements, including schools in Lewisville, Fond Noip, and Saltillo. In total, the TVA awarded over $3 million to 106 schools in the southeast.
