How to make a homemade strawberry milkshake
SUMMARY: Registered dietitian Rebecca Turner from the Dairy Alliance demonstrated how to make a simple homemade strawberry milkshake using strawberry ice cream and milk. The Dairy Alliance, a nonprofit supporting Mississippi’s 48 dairy farms, promotes dairy as part of a healthy diet providing calcium, vitamin D, and protein. Turner highlighted lactose-free ice cream and milk options made from real cow’s milk but with lactose removed for those sensitive to it. After blending 3-4 scoops of strawberry cheesecake lactose-free ice cream with milk, the shake is topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. Fresh milk typically reaches stores within 48 hours from farms.
