USM Gulf Park Names Stephanie McCoy-McLendon as New Executive Education Services Director
SUMMARY: Stephanie McLendon is named director of the new Executive Education Services at the University of Southern Mississippi's Gulf Park Campus. The program aims to offer training solutions for the workforce and micro credentialing. McLendon plans to partner with USM colleges and outside organizations. The services are a response to the growing demand for specialized training and credentialing. They will focus on coastal and ocean sciences, polymers, leadership, healthcare, computer science, and social sciences. McLendon's vision focuses on creating a positive impact on the blue economy and providing expertise and support to government, public, private and academia entities. USM Army and Air Force ROTC programs host Commissioning Ceremonies
SUMMARY: Ten Army and three Air Force cadets from the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) ROTC were commissioned as Second Lieutenants. The Army ceremony at Camp Shelby featured Major General Janson D. Boyles, while the Air Force ceremony on campus featured Brigadier General Mary-Kathryn Haddad. LTC Juan J. Ortiz praised the Army cadets for their leadership, and Lt. Col. Sheena Puleali'i commended the Air Force cadets for their commitment. Distinguished Military Graduate 2LT Jeremiah J. Parker expressed pride in his training and future goals. Commissioned cadets include 2LT Miruna Avram, 2LT Braxton Bailey, 2LT Jada Fairley, among others.
