SUMMARY: The Weather Authority reports stability and comfortable temperatures on the Coast with mostly sunny skies. The predicts temperatures dropping into the lower 60s with dense fog forming in multiple . Humidity values are high, indicating potential for fog formation. A dense fog advisory is issued by the National Weather Service in New Orleans and Mobile, with visibility dropping below 100 ft. Conditions are attributed to Marshland fires and atmospheric fog-producing factors. The 7-day forecast includes chances of rainfall and thunderstorms with the arrival of a front on Friday.

Tuesday November 7th, 2023: Earlier this evening I listed several focus areas and hazards that the National Weather Service has outlined for Tuesday night. Those are re-listed below. 1. Dense fog will develop across portions of southeast LA and southern MS on Wednesday morning. Smoke from the marsh fire in New Orleans East could reduce visibility to less than 100 feet across small portions of East Orleans and St. Tammany Parish during morning commute hours. 2. Dense fog will remain possible on Thursday morning across southeast and southern Mississippi. Patchy fog across the valleys this morning gave way to ample sunshine and values that continue to show an abundance of moisture returning to our area due to increasing southerly winds . High pressure is now centered off to the east allowing for moist patchy fog across river valleys. As always: A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition. Be nice to each other. – Meteorologist Trey Tonnessen
