VIDEO: Ole Miss provides Narcan kits on campus

SUMMARY: The opioid epidemic continues to affect people in Mississippi, college campuses. Universities are taking action to address the issue by providing -saving kits to . These kits contain fentanyl test strips, doses of Narcan, educational materials, and a bag for disposal of substances. In just one month, over 150 kits have been distributed. The William McGee Center, which supports students with substance and alcohol abuse challenges, is grateful for the access to these resources. There are also programs available to individuals and their loved ones struggling with addiction, such as the Craft program and Mississippi Horizons.

The opioid epidemic is still sweeping across the country. College students are just some of the that are affected. Many universities, like , are working to help.

Covington County looking into pair of drive-by shootings

Jones County Veterans Service Center moving to Ellisville
