Gulf Coast loading up on MS-AL, North-South all-star game selections

If there was ever a high school football game that felt like a college football game, it's the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Classic.

A lot of players will be suiting up on Thursday or Saturday's next year and chances are some of them will be doing the same on Sundays in the near future.

Today, eight players from the six coastal counties were selected to play in this year's prestigious event, taking place at South Alabama's Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile on Saturday, December 10^th at 12 noon.

The offense is certainly in good hands with Mr. Football for class…

USM Army and Air Force ROTC programs host Commissioning Ceremonies

SUMMARY: Ten Army and three Air Force cadets from the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) ROTC were commissioned as Second Lieutenants. The Army ceremony at Camp Shelby featured Major General Janson D. Boyles, while the Air Force ceremony on campus featured Brigadier General Mary-Kathryn Haddad. LTC Juan J. Ortiz praised the Army cadets for their leadership, and Lt. Col. Sheena Puleali'i commended the Air Force cadets for their commitment. Distinguished Military Graduate 2LT Jeremiah J. Parker expressed pride in his training and future goals. Commissioned cadets include 2LT Miruna Avram, 2LT Braxton Bailey, 2LT Jada Fairley, among others.
