Ridgeland triple homicide suspect had long criminal history

SUMMARY: A mother and her two daughters were shot and killed in Ridgeland, Mississippi. The , Ivory James Welch III, was involved in a gunfight with Arizona troopers and was killed. The victims were identified as Ida Welch, 76; Vicky Renee Welch, 56; and Crystal Lynn Welch, 42. Ridgeland Chief Brian Myers mentioned that Welch had a history of mental illness and previous encounters with enforcement. The motive for the shooting is unknown, and the investigation is ongoing with the of the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
