38 dogs were close to drowning on a Mississippi lake. But some fishermen had quite a catch
SUMMARY: In Atlanta, 38 hound dogs, while chasing a deer during a fox hunt, plunged into a large Mississippi lake. Exhausted and struggling to stay alive, the dogs were spotted by fishermen Bob Gist, Brad Carlisle, and Jordan Chrestman, who quickly intervened. Recognizing the urgency, the trio used their small boat to rescue the dogs as their frantic owners watched from the shore. Gist took three trips to bring the dogs to safety, with some so worn out they needed help to keep their heads above water. Gist praised Chrestman for his quick action, crediting him with saving the dogs’ lives.
