2024 Top of Class: Oak Grove High School & Quitman High School
SUMMARY: WD7 and Jones College salute the top of the Class of 2024. Oakr High School’s valedictorian, Shan Muka Atla, recipient of the Pride of Oakr Award and Red Cross Club Treasurer, will attend William Carey University to become a physician. Oakr’s salutatorian, Katon Wen, co-founder of the Robotics Club and Mu Alpha Theta secretary, will major in mechanical engineering at MSU. Jade Fella, valedictorian of Quitman High School, is a member of multiple honor societies and will pursue Radiology at Jones College. Quitman’s salutatorian, Paisley Harrington, a Beta Club member with high honors, will study childhood education at Meridian Community College. Congratulations to all!

Hattiesburg honors two fallen officers 10 years after their deaths
