2 juvenile escapees captured in Jackson

SUMMARY: Two juvenile escapees, 17-year-old Tyshawn Holmes and 15-year-old Jayshaun Jones, have been captured by Capitol Police after attempting to flee. They were captured after allegedly carjacking someone at gunpoint on Alexander Street. The carjacked vehicle was located at Glen Oak Apartments on Robinson Road. The first escapee, 16-year-old Robert Earl Smith Jr., was taken into custody earlier. The three teens had escaped from Henley Young and Juvenile Justice Center on June 27th. Holmes was charged with aggravated domestic violence, Jones with armed robbery and auto theft, and Smith Jr. with first-degree murder. Capitol Police arrested the two teens at the apartments they conducted surveillance on.
