2 dead, police investigate murder-suicide at Baptist Health Corbin parking lot

SUMMARY: Two individuals, 39-year-old Michael Salsbury and 35-year-old Shonda Park, were found dead outside Baptist Health Corbin, each with a single gunshot wound to the head. Both victims were from Knox County. Authorities are investigating the incident, which they suspect to be a murder-suicide. The investigation is still ongoing.

The Corbin Police Department is investigating a murder-suicide on Friday in Corbin.

Warm Sunday with some storms possible

SUMMARY: Warm and humid conditions continue over the next several days, with temperatures in the lower to mid-90s through Tuesday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible today, especially late morning into the afternoon, as a cluster of storms moves south from Chicago and northern Indiana. Some heavy downpours were seen yesterday, but rain coverage remains spotty. Another round of scattered storms may occur Wednesday, helping to cool temperatures to the upper 80s by Thursday and into the weekend. While most days will stay dry, some isolated rain chances persist. Overall, it will be a warm, muggy, and occasionally stormy week ahead.

Med Center Health to host Annual Women’s Conference
