$2.3M grant to fund secondary access road at I-59 park

SUMMARY: The construction of a major new roadway into the I-59 Supply Chain Park at the Hattiesburg-Laurel Regional Airport is expected to begin in a few months. The project is funded by a multi-million dollar state grant and is expected to support existing businesses and attract new industries to the site. Once construction begins, the project should take approximately 18 months to complete. The grant requires local matching funds of about 260-thousand dollars. The purpose of this project is to create jobs and attract new companies to Mississippi.
