Expected to maintain major hurricane status, it is forecasted to impact the western coast of Florida with life-threatening storm surges of 10-15 feet. Cooler temperatures are arriving locally with lows in the low 50s expected, as a cold front has moved through. However, rain is unlikely, and drought conditions may re-emerge as the week progresses. The next ten days promise pleasant outdoor weather.
