1 charged, 1 wanted for attempted murder after injuring 2 in Laurel shooting

SUMMARY: Laurel Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a man wanted for attempted murder. Two men were shot in Jones County nearly two weeks ago. The shooting happened at a stop on Ellisville Boulevard. Jordan Atkins was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder. Atkins will appear in Laurel Municipal Court tomorrow. LPD is still looking for a second suspect, 19-year-old Ke’Tas McLeod. Anyone with information regarding McLeod should contact the police.

20-year-old Jordan Atkins has been arrested and charged, while 19-year-old Ke’Tarius McLeod is still on the run, according to LPD.
