Your Voice: How are you feeling after the Presidential election?
SUMMARY: This week’s episode of Full Circle Florida delves into the political shift toward the Republican Party, examining the factors influencing voter sentiments across the state. A panel discusses the recent elections, highlights the Democrats’ struggles, and reflects on Amendments 3 and 4 falling short. Voter reactions post-election reveal mixed emotions, with a focus on unity and dialogue amid political divisiveness. Some express relief over the results, while others voice concern regarding future governance. The episode also addresses ongoing battles for abortion rights and recreational marijuana, suggesting that these issues remain unresolved. The overarching theme emphasizes the importance of collaboration moving forward.
The results are in, and America has spoken. Donald Trump is now the President elect after defeating Vice President Kamala Harris. So now the question is: how are you feeling in the wake of another major U.S. election? Paul LaGrone went out this week to get your voice and found the range of emotions are as diverse as the voters themselves.

Jacksonville man builds “Little Free Library” in Woodland Acres neighborhood
SUMMARY: A Jacksonville man, Fred Rodolf, built a “Little Free Library” on Eaton Avenue in the Woodland Acres neighborhood to encourage community reading and engagement. With about two dozen books inside, the portable library allows residents to take a book and leave one behind. Rodolf, a merchant mariner who moved from Seattle in 2015, sees the project as a way to help improve the neighborhood, especially near the Boys and Girls Club. Inspired by a friend, he emphasizes the value of physical books as a refreshing break from digital screens. His library will soon be officially chartered and added to Jacksonville’s map of nearly 50 free libraries.

South Florida facing high heat, humidity for Saturday 06/28
SUMMARY: South Florida is facing intense heat and high humidity on Saturday, with “feels like” temperatures hitting the triple digits, especially in Broward County. Miami-Dade and Key Biscayne will be slightly cooler, but overall, the entire area will experience sweltering conditions. The sun will be strong with extreme UV levels, so sunscreen and hydration are essential. Skies are mostly clear, with only minor rain chances over the Everglades later. Atlantic conditions remain calm, and tropical activity is minimal, though a low pressure system near the Yucatan is expected to impact the U.S.-Mexico border early next week without major effects locally. The 4th of July looks perfect.
