SUMMARY: Nearly five miles off Miami Beach lies the sunken yacht Ostwind, once owned by Adolf Hitler. Commissioned in 1938 as an Olympic racing yacht, it never competed. Hitler planned to use it to accept Winston Churchill’s surrender after a German victory, but history intervened. After WWII, the U.S. Navy used the vessel for training before it was sold in the 1970s to a Nazi memorabilia collector. Other GOP contenders like Mike Collins criticize Dooley’s lack of Republican credentials and Georgia residency.
