What if I don’t have a REAL ID by May 7?
SUMMARY: Starting Wednesday, federal agencies like TSA will enforce Real ID requirements. While Virginians aren’t required to get one, without a Real ID or another federally accepted ID, you won’t access federal buildings, military sites, or nuclear facilities, and may face extra steps to board domestic flights. If you don’t have a Real ID, TSA will accept alternative IDs like passports or military IDs, but without an accepted ID, you may undergo additional screening. If your identity can’t be confirmed, you won’t pass through TSA. If issues arise, ask for a TSA supervisor to resolve the situation.

If you do not have a REAL ID or another federally accepted form of identification beginning May 7, you might have some additional steps before boarding your flight.

Virginia girls' wrestling recognition
SUMMARY: Girls’ wrestling in Virginia is finally gaining well-deserved recognition, with the sport now officially sanctioned. Wrestlers and coaches express excitement about the growth and encouragement for more girls to try wrestling. They emphasize the sport’s empowering nature, building mental and physical strength, and ease in life skills. Many girls prefer to be known simply as wrestlers, not labeled by gender, showing the sport is truly for everyone. Sanctioning is expected to boost collegiate women’s teams beyond club level. The community urges all, regardless of age or gender, to try wrestling, breaking down outdated stereotypes and embracing inclusivity.

The sport of girls’ wrestling in Virginia is getting the attention it deserves. Photojournalist Connor Lambert was at a meet today and has reaction from wrestlers and their coach.
