West Harrison blows by Bay High 42-7 to move to 3-1

SUMMARY: Harrison High School's football team, the Hurricanes, dominated in their against Bay High School, winning 42-7. The Hurricanes put up 28 points in the second quarter and held Bay High scoreless for the rest of the game. West Harrison's offense had several big plays, a 45-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Brady Martin to receiver Jahmad McGowan and a 70-yard rushing touchdown by Tyson Johnson. Running back Jordan Stapleton had another impressive performance, rushing for 122 yards and a touchdown. The Tigers struggled with turnovers and inconsistent play on both sides of the ball. Pearl River softball earns nine All-MACCC awards

SUMMARY: a second consecutive 40-win season, the Pearl softball team celebrated numerous accolades as eight Wildcats were distinguished in the All-Conference teams by the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC). Natalie Herrington was honored as the MACCC of the Year and secured a First Team All-MACCC spot due to her standout performance, a 1.69 ERA and 184 strikeouts over 169 1/3 innings. Lainee Bailey and Morgan Lavergne also earned places on the First Team All-MACCC due to their exceptional contributions. Additionally, Peyton Hoffmayer and Bryn Daughtery received Second Team honors, while Natalie Toups and Caroline Lindsey were recognized with Honorable Mentions. Coach Christie Meeks praised the hard work and dedication of the awarded players, highlighting their commitment on the field, in the classroom, and in representing Pearl River positively.

Resurrection’s Historic 1A Title Run Reaches Roadblock At Taylorsville

The Tartars secured an 8-0 victory in the decisive third with a strong early by scoring six runs in the first two innings, ultimately ending the game with a seven-hit attack and strong pitching by Terry Barnes, who only three hits. Resurrection Catholic, which had a historic over the last four seasons, was unable to perform offensively, managing just three hits and committing three errors in their final game.
