SUMMARY: The weather report indicates a sunny, breezy day with some clouds and a slight chance of rain. Fog was present earlier in Bogalusa but has since lifted. A coastal flood advisory is in effect due to high tide expected tonight. The report also mentions a potentially developing tropical depression in the Caribbean, though it is not anticipated to become a major system, with minimal impact expected on local weather. Today’s high temperatures will reach the mid-80s, and there will be a 20% chance of isolated showers tomorrow. Election Day may see some spotty showers, but no significant disruptions are expected.

Mega-ammonia project could position Louisiana as clean energy leader | Louisiana
SUMMARY: A proposed $7.5 billion ammonia production facility in Ascension Parish aims to establish Louisiana as a leader in clean energy. The project, led by Clean Hydrogen Works, plans to create the largest ammonia production supply chain, with a 150% increase in global production anticipated over 25 years. The facility will utilize a carbon reduction method that captures carbon internally, releasing none into the atmosphere. Community engagement is prioritized, with job training programs and local partnerships, including with ExxonMobil for CO2 storage. Operations are set to begin in 2029, targeting global markets for energy and industrial applications.

How long could Taysom Hill be sidelined during rehab for season-ending injury?
SUMMARY: Taysom Hill is facing a torn ACL, which will likely end his season. The ACL is crucial for knee stability, and it typically cannot be repaired but is instead reconstructed using a graft from other areas of the knee. Rehabilitation involves strengthening core, hip, and quad muscles, alongside aggressive range-of-motion exercises. It will take about nine months for full recovery. Although Hill previously injured this knee in college, with a plate and screws already in place, athletes generally recover better than others. A second opinion on his injury is expected. Dr. Wendell Herd explains that post-recovery, athletes can return to high-level performance.
So what kind of rehab is New Orleans Saints star Taysom Hill facing with this injury and how long could he be sidelined? WWL Louisiana’s Meg Farris reports.
