Sellers named FWAA National Freshman Offensive Player of the Year
SUMMARY: University of South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers has been named the 2024 National Freshman Offensive Player of the Year by the Football Writers Association of America. The 6-3, 242-pound redshirt freshman completed 64.9% of his passes for 2,274 yards and 17 touchdowns, and also rushed for 655 yards and seven touchdowns. He earned third-team All-SEC honors and was recognized as SEC Freshman of the Year. Sellers joins two teammates on the FWAA Freshman All-America Team, marking the first time South Carolina players have been honored since 2011. A ceremony is set for February 24 in Gainesville, Florida.
