‘Buckingham Nicks’ bombed in 1973. Then it became used vinyl treasure
SUMMARY: In 1973, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, then a young couple, released their only album together, *Buckingham Nicks*, featuring their harmonies and Buckingham’s guitar. The album initially failed commercially, leading to their label dropping them. However, drummer Mick Fleetwood discovered their music and invited them to join Fleetwood Mac, which launched their legendary careers. The album became a rare collector’s item, known for its iconic nude cover, and will be reissued on vinyl, CD, and streaming on September 19. The reissue highlights their early collaboration before Fleetwood Mac’s breakthrough with *Rumours* and honors their lasting musical impact despite personal ups and downs.

How to protect your car from excessive heat
SUMMARY: A dangerous heat wave in Tennessee is causing vehicle interiors to reach temperatures over 145°F, with surfaces exposed to sunlight exceeding 195°F, risking damage to dashboards, seats, paint, and engines. State Farm advises parking in shade, using sunshades, regularly cleaning and conditioning interiors, washing and waxing exteriors, and checking tire pressure to avoid blowouts. Preventative maintenance includes ensuring cooling systems and fluid levels are adequate, checking battery health, and servicing air conditioning to prevent overheating. These steps help protect vehicles during extreme heat and reduce the risk of costly damage or breakdowns.
