Survey shows growing number of people use short-term loans to by groceries
SUMMARY: A growing number of Americans are using “buy now, pay later” loans to purchase groceries, as rising food prices strain household budgets. A recent Lending Tree survey reveals 25% of people are using these loans for food, nearly double from last year. While these loans can seem attractive due to no interest and no credit checks, late payments are rising, with 41% of users missing payments, which can lead to financial troubles. Experts suggest budgeting carefully and tracking loans to avoid spiraling debt. As demand increases, services like DoorDash are also offering payment plans starting June 1st.

A new survey from LendingTree reveals that 1 in 4 buy now, pay later users are using the loans to buy groceries, nearly double the number from last year.

SNAP changes proposed in GOP's 'big, beautiful bill.' Here's what to know
SUMMARY: Congressional Republicans are pushing the 1,116-page “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” which includes sweeping changes to taxes, student loans, Medicaid, deportations, defense, and federal nutrition programs like SNAP. The bill proposes cutting SNAP funding by $267 billion over ten years, shifting 5% of benefit costs and 75% of administrative costs to states, with increased financial penalties for states with high payment error rates. Work requirements would extend from ages 18-54 to 18-64, and only caregivers of children under 7 would be exempt. While touted by Trump, Democrats oppose it, calling it extreme. The bill faces challenges before becoming law.

Diddy trial: What was found in his bedroom | FOX 5 News
SUMMARY: Shawn “Diddy” Comb’s federal sex trafficking trial continues as more witnesses testify. A special agent revealed investigators found AR-15 parts and drugs in a Gucci bag in Diddy’s Miami bedroom. An expert explained victims may endure abuse due to fear, financial control, or love. Ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura testified that Combmes coerced her by taking things away if she disobeyed. Prosecutors plan to call rapper Kid Cudi to discuss his past relationship with Ventura. Diddy’s defense claims the evidence shows domestic violence, not sex trafficking. Combmes pleads not guilty; the trial may last 8-10 weeks.

More witnesses are taking the stand to testify against disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. Prosecutors in charge of Diddy’s federal sex trafficking trial plan to call a rapper and actor to the stand this week.
