Pops in the Park Returns October 7
SUMMARY: Partners for the Arts (PFTA) and the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) School of Music present the return of their fall event, Pops in the Park, on October 7 at 6 p.m. at Spirit Park, Southern Miss Hattiesburg campus. Sponsored by Cadence Bank, the free event features the USM Symphonic Winds, conducted by Dr. Travis Higa, with an opening by the USM Jazztet and special guests including voice faculty. Attendees can bring picnic setups, while VIP tickets offer shaded seating, charcuterie, and drinks. Proceeds support USM arts programs, scholarships, and student mentoring through PFTA.

Curtains Up: Theatre MSU Unveils Season of Classics, Musicals
SUMMARY: Mississippi State University’s Theatre MSU opens its 2025-2026 season with a lively adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s “The Jungle Book” from Sept. 24-26, featuring puppetry and music.
