SUMMARY: Ian Guyo Gonzalez Rios, the starting quarterback for the undefeated Saint Stanislaw Rocket Charles, is this week’s wxxv student athlete of the week. Gonzalez Rios, originally from Mexico City, fell in love with American football as a kid and decided to pursue his passion. With the support of his family, he moved to Bay St Louis, Mississippi to play for Saint Stanislaw. In his first two games of the season, Gonzalez Rios has already showcased his skills, completing 50% of his passes for over 200 yards and two touchdowns, as well as rushing for over 300 yards and seven touchdowns. Despite setbacks, he remains positive and focused on his team’s success. Gonzalez Rios has already received a Collegiate offer from Pearl River Community College.
