SUMMARY: A father of nine, Miguel Mundraon, was fatally shot during a violent robbery in North Austin on August 3rd. After leaving his frequent sports bar, two cars blocked his truck at the Mituakana Market parking lot, and masked, armed suspects demanded money and jewelry. Mundraon tried to flee but was killed. Authorities arrested five suspects; one is out on bond and another transferred on separate felony charges. Court documents indicate the group may have committed another robbery days earlier. Mundraon’s daughters are seeking justice, raising awareness, and calling for community protection. The case highlights concerns over violence within the Hispanic community.
