www.youtube.com – CBS Miami – 2025-06-19 17:20:16

SUMMARY: Families affected by Alzheimer’s openly discuss the challenges and fears around the disease, especially with loved ones who have experienced it. While some family members choose to undergo testing for early biomarkers, others prefer not to know, given the current lack of effective prevention or treatment before symptoms appear. A CBS Miami special, *Illuminating Alzheimer’s*, will explore these personal stories and available caregiver resources to foster deeper understanding and support.

CBS News Miami’s Lauren Pastrana sat down with her mom and aunt to discuss Alzheimer’s disease.
