SUMMARY: A lightning strike hit a tree just feet from a home in Orman Beach, Florida, captured on a neighbor’s surveillance camera. Fox 35’s meteorologist Laurel Blanchard advised avoiding open fields, metal, water, and especially staying under trees during thunderstorms. She emphasized the importance of heading indoors when thunder roars, as lightning can strike miles away from the storm. Fortunately, no one was outside during the strike.
