Rounds of showers and storms on Monday
SUMMARY: Showers and storms are expected Monday and Tuesday in Tennessee, with scattered rainfall likely throughout the days. While severe weather is not anticipated, intense downpours could cause localized flash flooding due to heavy rain possibly exceeding 1 to 2 inches in about half an hour. This comes from an upper-level low-pressure system over Mississippi tapping Gulf moisture. Rain may start Monday morning, affecting the commute, with showers and storms continuing into the afternoon and evening. Tuesday will have a brief dry period in the morning but more storms by afternoon. The weather will dry up by Wednesday with warming temperatures later in the week.

Nice Mother's Day then rain returns Monday & Tuesday
SUMMARY: Mother’s Day weekend started beautifully with pleasant weather, perfect for outdoor events and graduations. Mother’s Day itself will remain nice with warm temperatures around 81°F and a mix of sun and clouds. However, rain returns on Monday and Tuesday due to a Gulf low bringing scattered showers and storms, including the potential for intense downpours and localized flash flooding. No severe weather is expected, but heavy rain will impact Monday’s morning commute and continue intermittently through Tuesday. The system will move out by Tuesday night, leading to drier and warmer weather midweek with highs reaching the upper 80s by Thursday and Friday.
