SUMMARY: Pinellas County leaders have given the Tampa Bay Rays a deadline until December 1st to commit to redevelopment plans at Tropicana Field. The county’s ultimatum has heightened tensions, as the team faces challenges from Hurricane Idalia damage and concerns about funding for a new stadium. While county commissioners insist they bear no responsibility for delays in funding votes, the Rays argue they cannot repair the Trop and build a new stadium by 2028. Despite the uncertainty, the Rays maintain their commitment to remain in Tampa Bay and seek workable solutions with local partners.

SUMMARY: A Miami app called ALO is using artificial intelligence (AI) to improve dating by creating authentic, intentional profiles based on an initial assessment combined with two decades of relationship expertise. Unlike typical apps focusing on appearances or gamified algorithms, ALO matches users only if they have at least 70% compatibility in areas like attraction, shared experiences, and lifestyle preferences. Amid dating app burnout, especially among Millennials and Gen Z, ALO is expanding beyond Miami to New York and Los Angeles, aiming for nationwide reach by year-end.
