As of June 17, 2025, the outbreak has caused 17 illnesses across 13 states, three deaths, and one fetal loss. SUMMARY: Storms caused downed trees and power outages, notably in East Point where a tree blocked roads and hit power lines. The severe thunderstorms earlier moved out by evening, leaving dry conditions overnight. While showers may return tomorrow, they are expected to be fewer and less severe. Severe weather warnings, including tornado alerts, persist in parts of Oklahoma and Kansas, but the strongest storms will stay north. Thursday brings a new front and a level 1 risk of storms, followed by drier weather Friday through the weekend with highs near 93-94°F and low rain chances early next week.
