Miami Gardens mom of boy who shot himself in the foot walks out of jail
SUMMARY: A Miami Gardens mother, Christina Doyle, was arrested and charged with child neglect after her two-year-old son accidentally shot himself in the foot with her gun, which police say was inside her purse. Doyle, 33, appeared before a judge and was released with conditions including supervised visits with her four children and no access to firearms. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. when Doyle heard a loud bang while reversing her car. The child’s great-grandmother expressed shock over how the toddler could handle the gun. Doyle’s lawyer emphasized she is a lawful gun owner, and the shooting was an accident.
On Tuesday, the child’s great-grandmother spoke exclusively to CBS News Miami, saying the whole thing was an accident.

President Trump pressures Putin to end war in Ukraine
SUMMARY: President Trump is urging Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine, setting a tentative 10 to 12-day deadline for progress, though Putin remains unyielding. President Trump is also pressing Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu regarding the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, amid conflicting reports about starvation conditions. Meanwhile, the administration is finalizing a trade deal with China, with recent talks in Stockholm involving U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. Despite uncertainty, Trump suggests negotiations are nearing completion, highlighting the critical importance of U.S.-China trade relations.
