He was a lifelong farmer, rancher, and passionate horse owner, trainer, and racer. Known for his strong principles and old-school values, Charles valued honesty and family deeply. He is survived by his wife Lynda, children, stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings. Funeral services were held June 20 at First Free Will Baptist Church, Sulphur, with interment at Oaklawn Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the church.
